Aerial tramway to Mount Kurodake with Japan's earliest autumn color and backcountry skiing.

An aerial tramway ascending from Sounkyo Gorge to the fifth station of Mount Kurodake at 1,300 meters. The ropeway provides access to some of Japan's earliest autumn foliage in September and premier backcountry skiing from November. A chairlift continues higher to the seventh station, from where the summit is a one-hour hike.
