Yoshimizu-jinja
shrine
吉水神社
Historic shrine offering Japan's most famous panoramic view of blooming cherry blossoms.
A visually stunning shrine in Yoshino known for its deep historical connections to emperors and warlords. It was the temporary court of Emperor Go-Daigo and the site of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's famous cherry blossom viewing party. The veranda offers the iconic 'Hitome Senbon' view over thousands of cherry trees.
If visiting during cherry blossom season, arrive right at opening time, as the viewpoint here becomes incredibly congested.
