Overview
Legendary 'sake waterfall' from 717 AD alongside an avant-garde disorienting architecture park.
Legend says a filial son discovered this waterfall's water tasted like sake, curing his elderly father's ailments and inspiring Emperor Gensho to rename the era 'Yoro' (Nurturing the Old) in 717. The 32-meter cascade drops through a forested ravine in Yoro Park, reached by a gentle uphill walk. The adjacent Reversible Destiny park by Arakawa and Gins features intentionally disorienting architectural landscapes.
