浦富海岸
Dramatic coastline at Tottori's eastern tip forming Sanin Kaigan National Park's western boundary.
A stunning stretch of coastline along the eastern edge of Tottori Prefecture, Uradome is part of the San'in Kaigan Geopark and features sea caves, rock arches, white sand coves, and water so clear it rivals Okinawa. The best way to take it all in is by sightseeing boat, which threads through the rock formations on a 40-minute cruise, though kayak tours offer a more intimate perspective. In summer the main beach is swimmable and rarely crowded compared to Pacific coast alternatives. The walking trails along the clifftops provide excellent viewpoints year-round.
Local currents can be strong. Ask lifeguards about safe swimming zones before heading in.
