白保サンゴ礁
World's largest blue coral colony with 120+ coral species accessible by beach snorkeling.
The world's largest colony of blue coral, stretching along Ishigaki's eastern coast in a reef system supporting over 120 coral species. The shallow reef is accessible by snorkeling from the beach, and the clear waters reveal forests of rare blue Heliopora coral alongside giant clams and sea turtles. Community-led conservation efforts saved the reef from airport development in the 1980s.
