Overview
The most sacred natural site in Okinawa, featuring massive limestone altars in a coastal forest.
The most sacred spiritual site of the native Ryukyuan religion, located in a dense coastal forest. Giant limestone rock formations create natural altars where priestesses once conducted vital kingdom rituals. The peaceful, dappled sunlight filtering through the trees creates a profoundly moving atmosphere.
