Sapporo Clock Tower

The best view of the wooden exterior is from the park across the street. Arrive on the hour to hear the bell, powered by a Boston-made mechanism that has run continuously since 1881. Inside, a museum covers Sapporo's development, but the building’s lasting impression is its hourly chime.
