Overview
One of Japan's three best night views. Nagasaki's harbor glittering between mountains, seen from a 333m summit.
Mount Inasa's summit offers what many consider Japan's finest night view. Nagasaki's harbor city wedged between mountains, with lights reflecting off the water in every direction. A ropeway from central Nagasaki takes 5 minutes. The viewing platform was redesigned to maximize the panoramic effect, and the city's unique amphitheater-like geography makes the view three-dimensional.
Local tips
Arrive 30 minutes before sunset to see the transition from day to night. The last ropeway down is at 22:00. Don't miss it.
