Year-round display hall for the 14 elaborate hikiyama festival floats used during the Karatsu Kunchi festival each November, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage event. The lacquered papier-mache floats, shaped as samurai helmets, sea bream, dragons, and lions, date back to 1819 and weigh up to 3 tons each. The hall sits beside Karatsu Castle's waterfront park.
