The combined shrine at the summit of Mount Haguro representing all three sacred mountains of Dewa. Reached via 2,446 stone steps lined with 500-year-old cedar trees, the shrine has been a center of yamabushi mountain asceticism for over 1,400 years. The thatched-roof Sanjin Gosaiden hall is one of the largest in Japan.
