Zuihoden/Aoba Castle area
Overview
The Zuihoden and Aoba Castle area stretches across Sendai's forested hilltop, connecting the ornate Zuihoden mausoleum of Date Masamune with the ruins of his Aoba Castle. The walking route passes through temple grounds and a craft center dedicated to Tohoku sashiko embroidery. City views open up from the castle site.
