Yuki Chichibu Onsen
Overview
Sulfur and grey-mud onsen on Route 66 in Rankoshi-cho, with a women's-side mud bath made from clay rising from the spring source.
Yukichichibu, also signed as Yunosato, is a community-run sulfur onsen rebuilt as a modern bathhouse on the road between Konbu and Goshiki. The signature feature is the women's-side mud bath, where grey clay and thermal mud rising from the spring source can be applied to skin. Four outdoor baths and two indoor baths on the women's side; two outdoor and two indoor on the men's side. The complex includes a small lunch restaurant and a shop selling produce from Rankoshi farms.
Local tips
The men's side does not have a mud bath. Couples should plan to split up for the soak and meet at the lunch restaurant after.
