Yoshimuraya

Birthplace of Iekei (Family Style) ramen, the Yokohama-born hybrid that combines Hakata's creamy pork broth with Tokyo's soy sauce tradition. The rich, porky-soy soup is served with thick, chewy noodles, spinach, and sheets of nori that have become the style's signature. Their original shop in Nishi-ku has spawned hundreds of imitators, but purists still make the pilgrimage here.
