A maritime museum centered around a massive 1/10 scale model of the legendary battleship Yamato.

Kure was Japan's greatest naval port, and this museum tells the city's shipbuilding story through a stunning 26.3m replica of the Yamato , the largest battleship ever built. Beyond the ship model, exhibits cover submarine technology, Kure's role in modernization, and the human cost of war. A real Kaiten torpedo and Zero fighter are on display.
