Yakushidake Panorama Park is near the top of the Adatara Mountain Ropeway and can be accessed without any climbing.
Yakushidake Panorama Park sits near the top of the Adatara Mountain Ropeway and requires no hiking to reach. A sign marks the view of Mt. Adatara's summit to the west with the words Real sky above this point, referencing a famous poem by Takamura Kotaro in which his wife declared the only real sky was the one above her hometown mountain. To the east, the city of Nihonmatsu and the Abukuma River spread out below, with Mt. Kago, Mt. Tetsu, and Mt. Minowa rising to the northeast. An iron bell by the lookout is a replica of the one used by Kurogane-goya Mountain Lodge to guide hikers in low visibility.
