The windmill marks a viewpoint over the Genkai Sea. For just the view, rent a bike or take the loop bus from the port. For the full 11-kilometer Kyushu Olle trail, plan on four to five hours. The surrounding hills show cosmos in late summer and pampas grass in autumn.
