ホワイティうめだ
1963 underground arcade beneath Umeda; the diamond-tiled fountain plaza is the most photographed spot in Osaka's underground.
An underground shopping arcade opened in 1963, running east from Umeda Station beneath the JR tracks. The Diamond Square fountain plaza, with its diamond-tiled floor and central water feature, is the most-photographed spot in Osaka's vast underground network. The arcade itself runs 600 meters and connects to four other underground systems, making it the central node of getting around Umeda without surfacing.
From the south fountain plaza, ten minutes of walking gets you to Hankyu Sanbangai, Daimaru, JR Osaka Station, and Yodobashi Camera without crossing a street.
