Umeda/Kita is Osaka's northern business and transit hub, anchored by the Umeda Sky Building's floating rooftop observatory. Below street level, a labyrinth of underground shopping arcades connects JR Osaka Station with multiple subway and private rail lines. The Tenjinbashisuji arcade, Japan's longest, stretches 2.6km north.
