Tsuru Alps

Created in 2017 by a local hiking club, this series of clearly marked trails connects low mountains across the city of Tsuru, accessible directly from train stations. Mount Iwadono at 634 meters rewards a 90-minute climb with panoramic views of Fuji. The trails pass through cedar forests, bamboo groves, and hillside shrines, with almost no other hikers outside weekends.
