Displays on manufacturing & hybrid technology, plus a collection of rally cars & a safety simulator.
At Toyota Motor Corporation's head office campus, this museum opened in 1977 and focuses on the company's technology and forward direction rather than early history. Five themed zones cover eco and emotion, safety, manufacturing, corporate society, and a showroom, with interactive exhibits including a factory welding robot and a driving safety simulator. Guided tours run about 30 minutes; exploring all five zones takes closer to two hours. A children's area on the second floor explains how cars work, how they are made, and how parts are recycled. All displays are available in Japanese, English, and Chinese. The museum shop sells car-themed goods, including Toyota-branded curry.
