Chura-Sun Beach

Artificial beach built within Tomigusuku city's coastal park, a short distance south of Naha Airport. The park is positioned directly under the flight path, and planes pass overhead visibly throughout the day at low altitude, making it an unusual spot that appeals as much to aviation watchers as to swimmers. The beach itself is sandy with calm water, and the park has volleyball courts, picnic areas, and a playground. The combination of beach facilities and airport views draws a relaxed local crowd on weekends, particularly families. Access from Naha is straightforward by car or taxi.
