洞爺湖ロングラン花火大会
Nightly summer fireworks launched from boats moving along Lake Toya's south shore, every evening from late April to October.
Japan's longest-running nightly fireworks event launches 450 shells over the lake every night from April 28 to October 31, 8:45 to 9:05 PM. The boats move slowly along the shoreline so the show passes each ryokan, every onsen window, and the entire lakeside promenade in turn. No tickets, no crowds. Visitors watch from wherever they happen to be.
Lakeside ryokan rooms with east-facing windows get the longest show. The pier promenade gets the closest view but loses the hot-spring hotel context.
