The Izumiyu public bathhouse at Tosenji is closed on Tuesdays. Its water comes directly from two alkaline sulfur springs, uncirculated and untreated, with a pH of 8.9 that gives it a silky feel on the skin. Wash thoroughly at the provided showers before entering the bath; keep your towel out of the water.
