Tokachi Hills
park
十勝ヒルズ
Hilltop garden focused on 'flowers and food'.
29-hectare garden in Obihiro with pastoral views over Tokachi Plain farmland. It is divided into distinct zones including a rose garden, pond areas for dragonflies and water lilies, and the Sky Mirror, a pool of blue-flowering sage plants arranged to reflect the color of the sky. The garden is walkable in about an hour. On site, Farm Restaurant Viz serves dishes featuring locally sourced Tokachi Royal Mangalica pork, a Hungarian breed raised here for its flavor and high omega-3 content. The restaurant is run by a Hungarian chef who trained at Michelin-recognized kitchens in Budapest. Reservations are recommended.
