Birthplace of Togakure-ryu ninjutsu with authentic weapons, a shuriken range, and highland soba nearby.
Togakushi was the birthplace of the Togakure-ryu school of ninjutsu, one of Japan's oldest ninja traditions. This small museum displays authentic weapons, disguise kits, and espionage tools alongside a hands-on shuriken throwing range in the garden. The surrounding Togakushi area is also famous for its soba noodles, made with buckwheat grown at high altitude.
