展望塔
A 50-meter-high observation tower stands in the center of Hamanako Garden Park and offers sweeping views of Lake Hamana and the surrounding area.
A 50-meter observation tower in Hamanako Garden Park in Hamamatsu provides views of Lake Hamana and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji and the point where the lake meets the Pacific Ocean. The lake and ocean were connected in 1498 when an earthquake reshaped the coastline. Lake Hamana is known for cultivated eel, a local specialty served in the park's restaurant. Below the tower, large flower fields are planted three times per year with rotating species including sunflowers, cosmos, and Nemophila. The fields are often arranged into shapes or words, a design best appreciated from the tower looking down. The elevator to the top charges a nominal fee.
