Tairyo Ichiba Nakaura

Seafood market on the outskirts of Sakaiminato in Tottori, one of the main fishing ports on the San'in coast of the Japan Sea. The covered market sells the local catch, including fresh snow crab in season, dried yellowtail, whitebait, and a range of processed seafood products made from what comes off the boats. Cooked seafood is available to eat on-site or take away, and the prices reflect direct port proximity. Sakaiminato is better known for its Shigeru Mizuki Road, lined with hundreds of bronze manga characters from GeGeGe no Kitaro, and the market pairs well with a walk through that district in the same visit.
