Taiko-no-Yu
onsen
Larger modern bathhouse with both gold and silver waters, plus private rotenburo and a rooftop deck.
The largest public bathhouse in Arima, built into a hillside with both Kinsen (gold) and Ginsen (silver) waters across multiple pools, including outdoor rotenburo and a steam sauna on the rooftop deck. The atmosphere is closer to a modern resort onsen than the smaller Kin-no-yu and Gin-no-yu, with a restaurant, gift shop, and rest lounges built into the same complex. Day passes cover unlimited re-entry, which makes it the practical choice for visitors who want to try both waters in a single afternoon. The walk up from Kin-no-yu takes seven minutes through the old shopping street.
Day pass is roughly 2,750 yen. Towels and yukata available for rent. The rooftop pools open at noon; arrive then to avoid the post-lunch rush.
