水郷公園
Suigo Park is a quiet nature park on the banks of the Kushiro River close to Mashu Onsen Roadside Station.
Suigo Park sits along the Kushiro River near Mashu Onsen, with a one-kilometer loop path circling a large pond and a working waterwheel that generates electricity for local sluice gates. The woodchip surface is wheelchair accessible and offers views of rainbow trout in the water and seasonal wildflowers along the banks. A hexagonal bird-watching pavilion near the entrance has illustrated guides to resident species, with peak season in summer when narcissus flycatchers and hawfinches pass through. The park's gates and bridges are decorated with metalwork animals including owls and whooper swans. There is also a children's playground with climbing equipment.
