末吉公園
Subtropical jungle park in central Naha with forest trails, a hilltop shrine, and seasonal fireflies.
A 19-hectare subtropical jungle hidden in central Naha, reachable by monorail yet feeling worlds away from the city. Winding dirt paths lead through dense tropical forest to streams, a hilltop shrine rebuilt after WWII, and an 18th-century royal tomb. Fireflies appear in early summer, and Japan's largest butterflies drift through the canopy in spring.
