Statue of Liberty Odaiba
viewpoint
自由の女神像(お台場)
11-meter replica gifted by France in 1998; the canonical Odaiba photo spot with the Rainbow Bridge behind.
An 11-meter replica of the Paris Statue of Liberty (the original cast that the New York statue was based on), gifted to Tokyo by France in 1998 to mark the Year of France in Japan. The statue was originally meant to be temporary; popular demand kept it on the Odaiba waterfront. The composition with the Rainbow Bridge directly behind is the canonical Odaiba photo, especially after sunset when the bridge lights come on.
Best photo angle is from the boardwalk 30 meters southwest; rainbow Bridge illumination starts at sunset and runs to midnight.
