Shougetsu
accommodation
松月
Three-story 1920s wooden ryokan facing the river, built during the post-flood village rebuild that defined Ginzan's surviving look.
Shougetsu's facade is one of the most photographed in Ginzan, with its dark cedar railings and elaborate window kote-e dating to the 1923 reconstruction. The lobby retains the original Taisho-era reception desk and tiled floor. Eleven rooms upstairs, most river-facing. The single cypress communal bath is small but kept at a perfect 42 degrees year-round.
