Shirotori Garden
garden
白鳥庭園
Nagoya's largest Japanese garden recreates the journey of water from mountain to sea with seasonal beauty year-round.
Largest traditional Japanese garden in the Tokai region, designed to represent the landscape of Aichi Prefecture. The main pond symbolizes Ise Bay, a great hill represents Mount Ontake, and a flowing stream traces the Kiso River's path. The garden hosts stunning autumn illumination events and traditional tea ceremony experiences in its sukiya-style teahouse.
Visit during the autumn illumination event in November when the garden is lit up at night. Arrive just before sunset to see both the daytime and illuminated views.
