Shiraito-no-yu

Traditional neighborhood bathhouse located on the banks of the Tone River. It is a no-frills facility primarily used by local residents and guests of smaller ryokans that lack their own large baths. The water is a mild alkaline spring, famous for leaving the skin feeling silky and smooth. The facility features a single indoor bath with large windows overlooking the river. It is a quintessential 'local' experience, unaffected by mass tourism. Tattoos are common and fully accepted here, making it an excellent, stress-free alternative to the larger resorts in the Minakami area.
