Shipporyuji Temple (Mount Inunaki)

Deep in the mountains of southern Osaka, this temple serves as a base for mountain ascetics. The trail to the temple follows a river past seven waterfalls. It is one of the few places where ordinary people can apply to undergo 'takigyo' (waterfall meditation) under the guidance of a monk, offering a raw, physical connection to nature.
