Senjugahama Beach

Located at the western end of Lake Chuzenji, the Senjugahama beach offers majestic views of Mt. Nantai. Japanese oak (Quercus crispula Blume) and Japanese elms (Ulmus davidiana var. japonica) dot the shore. This beach is the start and end point for hikes along the shores of Lake Chuzenji. Access here is restricted to pedestrians and low-emission buses. Senjugahama Beach is especially popular in the early summer when the magenta-colored Japanese primroses (Primula japonica) are in bloom.
