Seikan Train Ferry Memorial Ship Hakkōda-maru

Board a retired Seikan ferry permanently docked in Aomori Bay, once part of the fleet that braved the treacherous Tsugaru Strait before the undersea tunnel opened. The ship-museum preserves its original wheelhouse, engine room, and passenger areas, telling stories of the crossing that connected Honshu to Hokkaido for 80 years. The deck offers views across the bay to where ferries once departed into northern waters.
