猿飛千壺峡
Volcanic gorge with emerald pools named for monkeys that once leaped across its narrows.
A narrow river gorge in northern Hyogo where volcanic rock formations create a series of emerald pools and small waterfalls. The name refers to a legend that monkeys once leaped across the gorge at its narrowest point. The trail winds along the river through dense forest, passing through a natural rock tunnel carved by millennia of erosion.
