An exceptionally well-preserved prehistoric Jomon period settlement. Reconstructed pit dwellings, longhouses, and large wooden pillar structures give visitors a tangible sense of ancient hunter-gatherer life. The site includes a modern museum displaying fascinating clay artifacts.
