Sankei-en Garden
garden
三溪園
Grand garden with 17 relocated historic buildings including a Kyoto pagoda.
A sprawling 175,000 sq meter Japanese garden built by silk merchant Hara Sankei, containing 17 historic buildings relocated from Kyoto, Kamakura, and elsewhere across Japan. The three-story pagoda, originally from a Kyoto temple, is the garden's iconic centerpiece.
The inner garden (separate admission) has the most important buildings and is far less crowded. Cherry blossom and autumn night illuminations are special events worth planning around.
