Overview

Postwar triangle block of tiny standing bars and izakaya seating four to eight, buzzing after 9 PM.

Wedged between two converging streets near Sangenjaya Station, this triangle-shaped block of narrow alleys packs dozens of tiny standing bars, izakaya, and oden counters into spaces that seat four to eight people. The postwar black-market origins are still visible in the improvised construction and hand-painted signage. Each bar has its own personality, natural wine, craft gin, yakitori, or just conversation, and the whole block hums after 9 PM.

Local tips

The cover charge (otoshi) includes a small appetizer. It's standard practice, not a tourist trap.
