Saijo Uchinuki Springs

Fed by snowmelt from sacred Mount Ishizuchi filtering through underground aquifers, over 3,000 artesian wells across Saijo gush 90,000 tons of spring water daily. Named one of Japan's 100 Famous Waters, the springs bubble up everywhere from train stations to private gardens. The water was judged Japan's best-tasting for two consecutive years and supports a thriving local sake brewing industry.
