The Eleven-Headed Kannon statue, housed in the Shio-Do hall since 1674, is the draw here. Its main face projects compassion and stillness, set against ten smaller heads with different expressions. Remove your shoes at the entrance to the hall; look for a shoe rack or carry your own bag.
