S-Pulse Dream Plaza

S-Pulse Dream Plaza sits on Shimizu Port's waterfront in Shizuoka, combining shopping, dining, and a couple of offbeat attractions under one roof with views of Suruga Bay and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji. The Shimizu Sushi Museum lets visitors learn about sushi history and sample fresh nigiri made with local Suruga Bay ingredients, including prized sakura shrimp and shirasu whitebait. A Ferris wheel on the rooftop frames the harbor and mountains. Chibi Maruko-chan Land, themed around the beloved manga set in this town, recreates nostalgic 1970s neighborhood scenes. The complex is a short bus ride from Shimizu Station, or accessible by water bus from central Shizuoka.
