Oirase Keiryukan

Oirase Keiryukan sits at the mouth of the famous Oirase Gorge and serves as both an information center and a surprisingly engaging nature museum. The highlight is the moss terrarium workshop, where visitors create miniature forest scenes using actual Oirase moss species, reflecting the gorge's reputation as one of Japan's richest moss habitats. The center also rents bicycles for the flat 14km gorge trail, which runs alongside the stream through dense forest.
