Overview
Aquarium designed as a Danish renaissance castle, with a tunnel through Hokkaido cold-water fish and a daily king penguin parade.
The aquarium occupies a replica of Egeskov Castle and is fronted by a Scandinavian-style plaza. The main hall holds a long acrylic tunnel through Sea of Okhotsk and Sea of Japan species. Twice-daily king penguin parades are the headline event, with about 20 birds walking a fixed loop through the central plaza. The park is next to JR Noboribetsu Station, 15 minutes by bus from the onsen.
