Vibrant mountain shrine with an iconic arched bridge, deeply connected to Koyasan Buddhism.

A vibrant shrine nestled in a mountain valley, intrinsically linked to Koyasan. It enshrines the local Shinto deities who gave the land to the Buddhist monk Kobo Daishi. The stunning, arched wooden bridge and vermilion buildings present a perfect image of Shinto-Buddhist syncretism.
