A 660-meter bridge pair named after the Ryukyuan paradise beyond the sea descends 80 meters in sweeping curves down a cliffside to the Pacific coast. The real prize is the observation deck atop the tunnel at the bridge's summit, offering an unbroken panorama of the cobalt ocean, Cape Chinen, and sacred Kudaka Island on the horizon. Best reached by car along Prefectural Route 86 from Nanjo.
