Ninna-ji
temple
仁和寺
Aristocratic temple noted for its connected palace structures and late-blooming cherry blossoms.
Known for its elegant Goten palace buildings connected by covered wooden walkways. The temple has deep connections to the Imperial Family. In late spring, its grove of Omuro cherry trees blossoms beautifully after the rest of Kyoto has finished.
Take the time to sit on the verandas of the Goten to admire the carefully raked rock and pond gardens.
