Overview

Aristocratic temple noted for its connected palace structures and late-blooming cherry blossoms.

Known for its elegant Goten palace buildings connected by covered wooden walkways. The temple has deep connections to the Imperial Family. In late spring, its grove of Omuro cherry trees blossoms beautifully after the rest of Kyoto has finished.
